Site work for a civil project in Grand Forks, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The City of Grand Forks invites qualified Suppliers to submit proposals for the supply and installation of a glass fused steel reservoir in accordance with MMCD guidelines and specifications. The successful proponent will be responsible for procurement, transportation, supply and installation of the reservoir and foundation, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and specifications. The scope of work shall include: supply and installation of a new glass fused steel reservoir, complete with reinforced concrete foundation, foundation preparation, foundation drainage foundation gravels, earthworks for pad preparation, drainage ditch, and appurtenances as outlined in the Supplementary Specifications. The project scope shall include all labour, material, equipment and effort necessary to install all works 2.0m beyond the tank exterior. This includes the 350mm PVC C900 DR18 water supply pipe stub, bends, restraints and appurtenances, as well as the 250mm dia. PVC SDR35 drain pipe stub, fittings and appurtenances. The project shall include the placement and grading of approved excavated material on the land immediately adjacent to the excavated pad. The Proponent shall assume that all excavated material can be placed at this location and that stripping this area prior to placement of fill shall not be required. The works shall not include the watermain or drainage pipe or any work beyond 2m from the exterior of the structure, finished gravel on top of the pad, storm culvert, electrical conduit, lighting, fencing or any other items proposed beyond 2m from the tank exterior. These items will be included in a separate tendered contract. The City has structured this RFP to provide pricing for multiple sizes of the reservoir with the intent of selecting the size which best suits their needs and available budget. In addition to the two sizes the City is seeking pricing, the City may negotiate a custom size with the Successful Proponent that best meets the City's objectives.
