The project is expected to be awarded next month.** Work for this right turn lane addition project includes: demolition and disposal of abandoned utilities, remove and re-construct existing PCC and AC pavements; construct new PCC and AC pavements with base and sub-base; remove and reconstruct curb & gutter; construct a dual curb ramps per approved Plans and Specifications; remove and re-construct PCC sidewalk, and 4 Concrete Driveways. and any other work required per Plans and Specifications. Work also includes: at the southeast corner of the intersection, remove and reconstruct traffic signal pull boxes; remove and reconstruct traffic signal poles on new foundations, accessible pedestrian push button (all corners), countdown ped heads (all corners), luminaires, mast arms, conduits, loop detectors and sign post; signing and striping; traffic signal improvements include a new traffic signal controller (procured by the City, contractor to install), new battery backup system, video traffic detection system, yellow retroreflective signal head backplates, new wiring, a new traffic signal communications module and any other work required per Plans and Specifications. The estimated cost of the above-described work is $950,000. Bidders shall have an active Class "A" license from the Contractor's State License Board, a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience and 5 recently completed similar public works projects, at the time of submitting bid. The project contract shall be completed and facility shall be made ready for service within 120 working days after the Notice to Proceed is issued.
