Hma Resurfacing of Various Streets in the Village of Depue Including Hma Surface Removal, 2-3/4" = 8197 Sy; Hma Binder Course, 1-3/4" = 804 Ton; Hma Surf. Course, 1-1/4 = 573 Ton; Bit. Mtls. (Tack Coat) = 3688 Pounds; and Related Items. The Village of Depue Has Adjusted the Pre-qualification Limitations From 1,200 Tons to 3,500 Tons for #5 - Hma Paving. Proposals requiring prequalification of bidders will be issued only to those contractors who are qualified with the Department of Transportation. Prequalification forms may be secured from the Engineer of Construction, Administration Building, 2300 South Dirksen Parkway, Springfield, IL 62764. The Village of Depue has increased the Maximum Tonnage Restriction of 5 - HMA Paving Pre-qualification value from 1,200 Tons to 6,000 Tons in any one Contract. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT Work includes Hot-Mix Asphalt resurfacing of Various Streets including HMA Surf. Rem. (Cold Milling), Class D Patching, 4", HMA Binder Course, HMA Surface Course, Manhole Adjustment, Inlet Adjustments, and other related items. SEQUENCE OF WORK Concrete items shall be completed prior to the placement of the HMA Surface Course. HMA SURFACE REMOVAL, PCC PAVEMENT REMOVAL This work shall be done in accordance with the appropriate articles of Section 406 and 440 of the Standard Specifications. Removal shall be done in accordance with the typical sections shown on the plans and shall consist of removing existing HMA or Portland Cement Concrete patches from the pavement structure to the depth specified or as according to the Engineer to insure a proper finished cross slope. No payment will be made for additional HMA Binder Course or HMA Surface Course to correct unauthorized additional depth of milling. Any area within the project limits that cannot be reached by the milling machine is to be removed by other means. This will include areas at headers and butt joints, areas around manholes and valves, and along the curb and gutter. At all limits of the milling, a clean, full width joint shall be saw cut and material removed to obtain a clean, straight edge to the depth of milling. This removal will be considered incidental to the milling operation and no other payment will be made. All grindings shall be stockpiled in an area designated by the Village of De Pue and shall become property of the Village. ILDOT - HMA Resurfacing
