The work consists of HMA milling and resurfacing of approximately 45,862 square yards of roadway, concrete improvements, drainage improvements and upgrades, and installation of traffic stripes, traffic markings, and RPMs in the Township of Galloway. The work is located within the Township of Galloway on Elm Avenue, Dekalb Street, St. Joseph Street, Key Drive, First Avenue, and Fourth Avenue. The work shall be completed within ninety (90) days of the Notice to Proceed or be subject to liquidated damages of $500.00 per day. The Contract timeline consists of thirty (30) days to complete all drainage work, a mandatory thirty (30) day settlement period, and then thirty (30) days to complete all paving and final restoration work. No bid will be received unless in writing on the forms furnished, and unless accompanied by bid security in the form of an original bid bond or certified check made payable to the Owner in an amount equal to 10% of the amount of the total bid, provided that the said security need not be more than $20,000 nor less than $500.00 and be delivered at the place on or before the hour named above. The Owner shall award the Contract or reject all bids within 60 days of bid opening, except that the bids of any bidders who consent thereto may, at the request of the Owner, be held for consideration for such longer period as may be agreed.
