The City of Elsmere, Kentucky, invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the construction of a new welcome sign located at 4517 Dixie Highway. This project aims to enhance the City's entrance with a visually appealing and durable sign that reflects the community's identity. The Project involves the construction of a welcome sign for the City of Elsmere in accordance with the City's specifications attached under Appendix I ("City Sign Specifications"). The welcome sign will be located at 4517 Dixie Highway and will incorporate the City's logo and motto, "Moving Forward. Making Tracks". The final project should be consistent with the architectural and landscape plans provided and must adhere to all specified material and construction standards. 1. Construction: o Construct the welcome sign in accordance with the City Sign Specifications using specified materials, including cast stone, brick veneer, and custom metal sign board. o Contractor will be responsible for securing the custom metal signboard. o Coordinate with the City and its engineer for the installation of electrical components, including backlit metal lettering. 2. Site Preparation and Installation: o Verify existing site conditions and coordinate with utility providers to avoid disruptions. o Prepare the site for construction, including grading and drainage adjustments as necessary. o Install the sign and ensure all components are securely and properly fitted. o Contractor will be responsible for performing all electrical work Each Bidder must complete a bid form for the Welcome Sign Project. The bid form must be accompanied with a detailed proposal outlining the approach to the project, timeline, and cost Additional attachments with the bid form include (i) evidence of relevant experience and qualifications, including past projects of similar scope and complexity; and (ii) three (3) references of prior clients. The City has the right to reject any and all bids.
