The scope of work includes resurfacing multiple city-maintained streets as identified in the full work summary. The project includes the following street segments: Cross Street from May Street to Garvey Avenue; May Street from Dixie Highway to Slater Street; Slater Street from Erlanger Street to just past May Street to new pavement; Vine Street from Dixie Highway to the end of the street. Concrete work will be done ahead of resurfacing on Capitol Avenue from Robinson Way to the cul de sac; Mitten Drive from Capitol Avenue to Debbie Lane; Pondside Court from Capitol Avenue to the cul de sac. Resurfacing/overlay on these roads cannot occur before the beginning of September 2026 without prior permission from the City. Erlanger Street from Dixie Highway to Slater Street will have water main replacement; resurfacing can begin after notification of completion, possibly as late as April 2027. Bucker Street from Main Street to Lytle Avenue and Wycliff Avenue from E Plateau Street to end of street are included in project quantities but may be removed depending on funding availability. Contractors are encouraged to use local vendors and suppliers. Each bidder must deposit security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty consecutive calendar days after the opening date. No price escalation during the construction contract will be considered. The OWNER reserves the right to negotiate with the apparent successful bidder as necessary to meet the OWNER's needs, to waive informalities, or to reject any or all bids. This is a Lump Sum Contract.
