Site work and new construction of a conference / convention center in Mount Airy, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the construction of a 18,500-square-foot conference / convention center; and for site work for a conference / convention center.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Granstone Conference & Event Center will be a newly constructed +/- 18,500 SQ FT single-story structure. The space will incorporate large, voluminous pre-function and conference/meeting spaces, as well as catering kitchen, breakout rooms and support facilities (toilets, loading dock, etc.). The roofing will be layered with flat roofing and parapets, with a butterfly roof feature over the main entrance view. Exterior skins will be comprised of various elements, including metal panels, fiber cement, masonry/granite cladding and granite window trim; wood look soffit panels at pronounced entrances. Interior finishes will include paint/wall coverings, acoustical and specialty ceilings, and flooring to have a mix of carpeting, resilient flooring, and hard tile.
