Orange County, Florida, henceforth referred to as the County is accepting sealed bids for Wekiva Priority Focus Area Pond 6360 Retrofit (Y25-781) This proposed water quality retrofit project consists of constructing two forebay treatment areas using earthen berms around each of the existing pond inflow pipes. To offset the loss of storage from the earthen berms, the pond will also be excavated one foot deeper while maintaining the existing side slopes. The earthen berms are proposed to be constructed with side slopes no steeper than 4:1 with a berm top width of 6 feet. The bottom of the treatment forebays will have Biosorption Activated Media (BAM) to provide treatment of stormwater prior to infiltration into the groundwater. Additionally, the side slopes of the treatment forebays and earthen berms will include BAM to ensure no water leaves the forebays without receiving treatment. The improvements in general include biosorption activated media, erosion control, clearing and grubbing, excavation, embankment, grading, mitered end sections, concrete ditch pavement and sod.
