No definite date for the rebid.** Purpose Loudoun Water is providing this advance notice to qualified electrical contractors for an upcoming project to replace the Medium-Voltage Motor Control Center (MCC) at the Goose Creek RWPS, a critical component of our water supply infrastructure. We are sharing this information early with an exhibit to gauge contractor interest and help you plan for a future bid. 2. Project Overview & Scope The selected Contractor will be responsible for all work required for a complete installation, including: - Demolition and removal of the existing pump starters inside the electrical room. - Installation of a new, pre-purchased Siemens Medium-Voltage MCC on a new concrete pad. All associated conduit, wiring, and termination work to connect the new MCC to the existing pump motors and power feeds. - Coordination with Siemens, who will provide Startup and Commissioning services for the new MCC. 3. Project Timeline & Pre-Purchased Equipment This project is timed to ensure a smooth handoff and no need for temporary storage. - Bid Opening: Loudoun Water intends to bid this project in Q1 of 2026. - Equipment Delivery: The pre-purchased Siemens MCC is anticipated to deliver in Q1 of 2026. The project will be sequenced for the selected Contractor to receive the MCC directly from the manufacturer, eliminating the need for temporary storage. 4. Procurement Details The formal bid will be conducted according to the Virginia Public Procurement Act (VPPA). The procurement will utilize Loudoun Water’s Short-Form General Conditions.
