Installation of painter's railing outside the inner roof handrail. f. Installation of rigging couplings on roof for temporary fall protection of workers in the wet interior. g. Installation of a handhold at the wet interior roof hatch inside the handrail and at the access tube roof hatch. h. Replacement of fall prevention devices to be consistent with the rest of the fall prevention devices within the tank. i. Replacement of ceiling tiles. A. Tank repairs and modifications to an elevated 2.5 million gallon, 108 foot 0 inch diameter elevated water storage tank generally include the following: 1. Baseplate grout repairs. 2. Surface preparation and recoating of ringwall foundation. 3. Installation of fall prevention rigging couplings on roof. 4. Installation of new access tube grab bar at dry interior roof hatch. 5. Replacement and addition of ladder fall prevention systems. 6. Installation of new mud valve. 7. Overcoating of tank exterior and recoating of tank container interior. See Section 09975 - Coating for Rehabilitated Welded Steel Water Storage Tanks. 8. Recoating interior process piping. See Section 09960 - High Performance Coating. 9. Installation of NSF 61-certified gaskets at container roof hatches. 10. Replacement of ceiling tiles within the dry pedestal. 11. Replace ladder drop ceiling hatch in dry interior. 12. Modify ladder hatch through condensate ceiling in dry interior. 13. Drain line pipe penetration replacement/capping. QA - 7/23/25: NTP is anticipated in Late October.
