THE ABINGTON-JENKINTOWN CONNECTION PROJECT (PHASE 2B) in Abington Township, Montgomery County, PA. All Bidders are required to establish proof of competency and responsibility, in accordance with 67 PA Code Chapter 457, Regulations Governing Pre-qualification of Prospective Bidders and PennDOT Form 408/2020, as supplemented and amended, Section 102. Subcontractors must pre-qualify in the same manner, if listed in the proposal or if Bidder subsequently undertakes the partial or total construction of one or more items of work. All Bidders and Subcontractors must be PennDOT pre-qualified for the items of work they are to perform. Questions must be submitted via PennBid by June 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM. All proposals (bids) are to be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The following is a general description of the work: Base Bid The following improvements are included in the base bid: o Construction of all new curbing, stormwater drainage, full depth paving, and mill and overlay indicated. o Permanent restoration of all disturbed ground east of the Spine Road, as indicated. o Construction of all new cement concrete curb ramps indicated, and construction of all new sidewalk east of the Spine Road. o Temporary restoration of all disturbed ground west of the Spine Road behind the new curbing, with topsoil and seeding. o Construction of all subsurface electrical conduit, junction boxes, and foundations necessary for the rapid rectangular flashing beacon o All traffic control and erosion and sediment pollution control necessary to complete the Contractor's scope of work. Add-Alternate #1 o Construction of all new cement concrete sidewalk west of the Spine Road. o Permanent restoration of all disturbed ground west of the Spine Road, as indicated. o All traffic control and erosion and sediment pollution control necessary to complete the Contractor's scope of work.
