A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Furnishing All Labor and Materials, and Performing All Work Required by City of Daphne for the Following Project: Bid Document No: 2025-j- Milton Jones Road Extension Bids Received After the Designated Deadline Will Not Be Considered. 240 Calendar Days Will Be Allowed for the Completion of the Project. The Work Will Consist of Constructing a Roundabout at the Intersection of County Road 13/milton Jones Road, Extending Milton Jones Road West to Connect to Friendship Road, and Row Drainage Improvements. All Bids Must Be on Blank Forms Provided in the Specifications and Submitted in Its Entirety A Bid Bond Executed and Signed by a Surety Company Duly Authorized and Qualified to Make Bonds in the State of Alabama or a Cashier's Check Drawn on an Alabama Bank, Payable to City of Daphne, Alabama, for an Amount of Five Percent (5%) of the Amount Bid, but in No Event More Than Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000), Shall Be Filed With the Bid. All Minority Business Enterprises (Mbe) and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (Dbe) Will Be Taken Into Consideration. No Bids Will Be Considered Unless the Bidder, Whether Resident or Non-resident of Alabama, is Properly Qualified to Submit a Bid for This Project in Accordance With All Applicable Laws of the State of Alabama. This Shall Include Evidence of Holding a Current License From the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, as Required by Chapter 8, Title 34 of the Code of Alabama (1975). In Addition, Non-residents of the State, if a Corporation, Shall Show Evidence of Having Qualified With the Secretary of State to Do Business in the State of Alabama. A Copy of Required State of Alabama License Shall Be Included in the Bid Submittal and Listed on the Outside of the Submittal Envelope. In Evaluating Bidders, the City Will Consider the Qualifications of Bidders and May Consider the Qualifications and Experience of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Other Individuals or Entities Proposed for Those Portions of the Work for Which the Identity of Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Other Individuals or Entities Must Be Submitted as May Be Provided in the Supplementary Conditions. The City May Conduct Such Investigations as the City Deems Necessary to Establish the Responsibility, Qualifications, and Financial Ability of Bidders, Proposed Subcontractors, Suppliers, Individuals, or Entities Proposed for Those Portions of the Work in Accordance With the Contract Documents. The City May Disqualify Bidders That Have Had Prior Demands Placed on a Bid Bond, Payment Bond, or Performance Bond Within the Last Five (5) Years Prior to the Date of This Bid Submission. If the Contract is to Be Awarded, the City Will Award the Contract to the Lowest Responsive and Responsible Bidder. No Bid Shall Be Withdrawn for a Period of Sixty (60) Days Subsequent to the Opening of Bids Without the Consent of the City Council of City of Daphne, Alabama.
