OVERHEAD CANOPY NETTING SYSTEM FOR THE ED RINEHART SPORTS COMPLEX PRECINCT 4 All bids shall be submitted on the basis of lump sum pricing as provided in the bid specifications. Payment to successful bidder shall be net thirty (30) days after receipt of products, materials, services or invoices, whichever is later unless otherwise stated in specifications. The right is reserved, as the interest of Montgomery County Commissioners' Court may require rejecting any one or all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. The Bid Bond must be in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount and must accompany each bid. If applicable, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the project. A prevailing wage rate has been prescribed for this project. Montgomery County is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. For any questions relating to the specifications or the submission of this bid, contact Matthew Alexander, Senior Buyer by email at matthew.alexander@mctx.org or by calling 936.538.5912 VENDOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO: SEE ATTACHMENT A FOR QUAD LAYOUT. 3 SPECIFICATIONS (SCOPE OF WORK) DESCRIPTION: FURNISH AND INSTALL OVERHEAD CANOPY NETTING SYSTEM o Furnish and install two (2) overhead canopy netting systems to provide protective coverage for two (2) quads (each consisting offour (4) fields). o One (1) canopy net will be installed over each quad offering overhead protection for the pedestrian zones located between the fields. o The netting system will be engineered to allow balls to roll back toward the field, preventing them from becoming trapped within the canopy. o Each canopy net will be supported by a total often (10) structurally engineered, black-painted steel poles, and consist oftwo (2) 40-foot poles and eight (8) 30-foot poles. o The two (2) 40-foot polls will be positioned at the center of each quad, on opposite sides of the existing central shade structure. o A structural steel beam will be welded between the tops ofthese poles to provide enhanced support for the canopy cables and ensure the integrity ofthe system. o The eight (8) 30-foot poles will be placed directly behind each dugout at the point where the dugout structure begins and the chain-link backstop ends. o All poles will be direct-embedded in 3,000 PSI concrete for long-lasting stability and strength. o Each canopy will span approximately 9,000 square feet. o The netting will be fabricated from high-quality #36 DuPont(R) knotted nylon netting, or comparable County-approved equivalent. o The netting material will need to be double-UV treated to ensure maximum durability and weather resistance. o The netting will be securely anchored to both the newly installed steel poles and the existing chain-link fencing, providing a seamless and stable canopy structure. o The price is to include all required materials, hardw
