Principal items of work include but are not limited to: 1,330 Ft Water Main, PVC, 8 inch 250 Ft Water Service, Type K Copper, 1 inch and 2 inch 310 Ton HMA, 13A 500 Ft Curb and Gutter, Detail F2 480 Sft Concrete Sidewalk, 4 inch Bids will be received for a single prime Contract: Natalie Drive and Homestead Drive Water Main Bidding Documents also may be examined at online; and the office of the Engineer, 540 S. Saginaw Street, Ste 200, Flint, MI 48502 on Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Drawings, Specifications, and other Contract documents for submitting a bid must be obtained upon application at the office of ROWE Professional Services Company, upon the payment of $40 per set for prints, or $30 for portable document format (PDF) files which can be obtained after completing the Request Bid Package form found at online. There is a 3 percent convenience fee on all credit card fees. The online portal will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Plans and specifications will not be mailed/e-mailed until payment is received. The non-refundable fee shall be by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover accepted) or in check form and shall be drawn payable to ROWE Professional Services Company. The above-referenced project requires Owner's and Contractor's Protective (OCP) Liability Insurance in addition to general liability. All successful bidders must comply with the insurance requirements set forth in Article SC-6.03 of Section C-800. City of Burton, hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive any formality or technicality in any Proposal in the interest of the Owner. Scope of Work. These PVC Watermain Technical Specifications ("Watermain Specifications") are a supplement to and form a part of the Contract Documents and technically describe the nature of the Materials and the workmanship required to complete the Project. These PVC Watermain Specifications require that all watermain pipe be installed complete and ready in every respect. Any items not specifically required by or included in these Watermain Specifications, but which are clearly necessary, are deemed to be included herein at no increase in the Contract Price. PVC Watermain will ONLY be allowed for wholesale customers that are isolated, meaning the water system does not return flow back into GCDC-WWS's or another municipal system. For example, water cannot flow "through" the community, i.e. the same water cannot enter and leave the municipality. For these isolated communities, PVC watermain will ONLY be allowed for municipal sized watermains (6"-12" diameter). PVC will not be allowed for main transmission lines (usually size 16" and larger diameter).
