Site work for a municipal facility in Whiteville, North Carolina. Working plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

**As of July 18,2025 , the project is on hold. No definite date for the rebid.** Columbus County Economic Development Commission is soliciting qualified bids from licensed grading contractors to grade, compact, and place aggregate base course stone for use in construction of a Future Speculative Building Pad. The Scope of Services for this Project are as follows: 1. Contractor will be required to provide and install approximately 2,500-Linear Feet of silt fencing along the perimeter of the grading site and around the designated stockpile area. 2. Contractor will be required to construct and maintain a construction entrance to reduce sediment tracking off site. 3. Contractor will be required to strip Topsoil from the designated Building Pad area as shown on NCDEQ Approved Construction Plans (Drawing No. 01,1615-D28 dated February 9, 2024) and compact the underlying soils to 98% Proctor. 4. Contractor will be required to place aggregate base course stone within the designated building pad area and compact appropriately. 5. Contractor will be required to permanently seed the areas of disturbance and remove silt fencing along roadways once stabilization has occurred. Construction Materials Testing and Aggregate Base Course will be provided by Columbus County Economic Development Commission
