The Town of Sims (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Elevated Storage Tank Rehabilitation American Rescue Plan Act Project: SRP-D-ARP-0215 The Project includes but is not limited to the following Work: CONTRACT II - 75,000 GALLON ELEVATED STORAGE TANK REHABILITATION 1 LS Base Bid to include all work identified in the project specifications except unscheduled repairs Section 3.04 encountered during the work and directed by the Inspector to be performed on a Unit Cost Basis 3 EA Gallons Epoxy Compound to Repair Metal Surfaces 40 EA Pit Welding 10 LF Seam Welding 30 HRS Chipping, Grinding, and Cutting Metal Surfaces The Project has an expected duration of 180 days. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. The Owner has developed a goal of ten percent (10%) for participation of minority-owned and women owned business enterprises in construction contracts awarded pursuant to NCGS 143-128. Bidders must comply with the Owner's requirements for W/MBE documentation. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all BIDS and to award both Parts, either Part or neither Part of this project. BIDDERS shall be properly licensed under Chapter 87, General Statutes of North Carolina. Small, minority and women's businesses and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit BIDS.
