Ifyou have any questions or comments regarding this matter, please call me at (903) 675-3903 Question Deadline 06/27/2025 Any questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to ENGINEER DESCRIPTION. Water Main pipe of the type and grade called for in the plans and specifications, fittings, specials, and valves are to be installed at locations asshown on the plans and specified herein. The pipe shall be laid on a uniform grade as near as is possible and the pipe should have a minimum cover of 6 feet unless otherwise called for in these specifications or shown on the drawings. In those instances where the water line must go to depths greater than 5 feet to miss existing or other utilities or storm sewers, it shall be the CONTRACTORs responsibility to furnish pipe of proper strength where these situations arise. The requirements of Item 505 Excavation and Backfill shall govern the trenching for laying of pipe unless otherwise specified herein.
