the following project: John King Boulevard S.H. 205 16-Inch Water Line Relocations and S.H. 276 16-Inch Water Line Lowering As set forth in the plans and specifications, the project is designed to complete the following approximate major items of work: • 1,205 LF of 16-inch PVC Water Line by Open Cut with Std. Embedment • 154 LF of 16-inch PVC Water Line by Open Cut with Concrete Encasement • 45 LF of 16-inch PVC Water Line by Open Cut with 24” Steel Encasement Pipe (1/2” Thick) • Three (3) 16-inch Insertion Valves • 973 LF of Abandonment of Existing 16-inch Water Line Pipe with Grout • 370 LF of Remove and Dispose of Existing 16-inch Water Line Pipe The Bid shall be submitted on the form provided in the Bid Documents. Bidder must submit, with their Bid, and a Bid Bond from an approved surety company, in the amount of five percent (5%) of their Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and guarantee forms, if required, within 10 days after notice of award of contract. The successful bidder must furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, from an approved Surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding Certificates of Authority from the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, or another Surety acceptable to the City. A ten percent (10%) Maintenance Bond (2-year) is required for this project The right is reserved by the City of Rockwall to reject any and all bids.
