This work covered by this Article 4 of the specifications consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies and materials, and in performing all operations in connection with the preparation of subgrade as required and in performing all operations in the connection with the construction of air-entrained Portland cement concrete pavement. The following recognized standards [State of Nebraska, Department of Roads 2007 Standard Specifications for Highway Construction (NDOR), the American Water Works Association Standards (AWWA), American Standards for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), etc., or the latest revisions thereof] shall apply except as hereinafter provided. All specifications included in this Article 4 will pertain except that special notation on the plans, in the "Special Provisions", or in the "General Provisions", shall have precedence. Start and completion dates of the construction are crucial on this project and will be considered in awarding the bid. The Contractor shall start work within ten (10) days after date of Notice to Proceed. All ramps at the intersections of 21st Street and 24th Avenue, 21st Street and 25th Avenue and 20th Street and 25th Avenue to be completed by August 8, 2025. The City requests to substantially complete as much as possible by September 30, 2025. The City will accept a later completion date, but all work shall be done by November 1, 2025. Substantial completion shall be defined as paving completed, backfilled and open for use.
