The Village of Shabbona is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide professional Building Inspection Services. The selected contractor would be responsible for ensuring construction and development activities within the Village comply with applicable codes, ordinances, and regulations. The Building Inspector will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: o Conducting inspections for new construction, remodels, and repairs for compliance with local and state building codes o Reviewing building plans and permit applications o Issuing building permits o Enforcing the Village's zoning, property maintenance, and building codes o Issuing correction notices and stop-work orders when necessary o Maintaining accurate records of inspections and reports o Providing monthly activity reports to the Village Board o Attending Village Board meetings as requested The selected party must be available on an as-needed basis and respond promptly to inspection requests. All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing to shabbonaclerk@gmail.com. The Village of Shabbona reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
