The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment for mobilization and demobilization; cofferdams and dewatering; construction of new stoplog slots and associated work, including demolition, concrete work, bulkhead slot armor, bulkhead sill beam, handrails, miscellaneous metals, and painting; and environmental protection. IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR 36.204(F) DISCLOSURE OF THE MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS, THE ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE OF THIS PROJECT IS BETWEEN $5,000,000 AND $10,000,000. Bidders are encouraged to submit questions 5 days prior to bid opening to ensure adequate time is allotted to form an appropriate response and amend the solicitation, if necessary. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Questions shall be emailed to the Contract Specialist and the Contracting Officer. Questions must specify the section or paragraph of the solicitation for which the clarification is desired. Questions shall be submitted no later than 2:00PM EST on Friday, 22 August 2025 The work will be completed in 3 locations (6 slots total). Once completed, either of the miter gates or the entire lock chamber will be able to be dewatered. Removal of existing concrete and handrails in locations where new stoplog slots will be constructed. o Installation of new concrete, rebar, and steel bulkhead recess inserts (6 locations total) - Work includes the fabrication of bulkhead recess inserts as shown on the drawings. o Fabrication/installation of the new sill beams and sill beam support struts. o Placement of Government furnished bulkheads into newly constructed slots and valve culverts. o Placement of concrete around new sill beams and sill beam support struts. o Replacement of handrails around work areas. For the purpose of acceptance, the Stoplog Slots must be in place as shown in the drawings and must allow for dewatering of the miter gates and lock chamber.
