Call 910-650-2926 before arrival. The selected Bidder must provide a bid with the specifications listed below for the TPS. Bids that do not meet these specifications will not be considered. The City of Jacksonville is seeking bids (RFB) for the on-demand purchase of standalone Solar Transit Pole Systems (TPS) specifically engineered for unsheltered transit stops over a threeyear period with two (2) option years. The City of Jacksonville will award all line items to one (1) Bidder. The standard of award is the lowest, responsible, responsive Bidder whose bid is most advantageous to the City. It is projected that Jacksonville Transit will add more solar powered lights throughout the duration of this contract. The TPS shall serve two primary functions: (1) illuminate the immediate vicinity of the transit stop to enhance visibility and public safety during low-light conditions, and (2) provide a passenger-activated push-button feature that triggers a secondary, high-visibility signal light to alert approaching transit operators of waiting riders.
