As of August 2025, the project is expected to rebid in the fall 2025. A firm construction schedule has not been established. The work of Contract No. 2 - Water Mains/Water Meter Improvements is generally described as follows: installation of 175 feet of 4-inch/6-inch, 3250 feet of 8-inch, and 3350 feet of 10-inch Class 52 DIP water mains including valves, fittings, road crossings, 500 feet of 8-inch, 150 feet of 10-inch, and 375 feet of 12-inch HDPE directional drilling, restoration, pressure testing and disinfection of water mains; installation of about 100 new water services including: corporation, curb stops, water service, driving water services under roads; installation of water meters, control/meter manhole, fencing; meter hardware/software radio read; water meter installation (in building) - radio read; water meter pit installation - radio read; miscellaneous work and final restoration. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or certified check payable to the Town of Otselic in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Bid Price. Complete Bid Bond forms are included in the Bid Proposal section of the Project Manual. If a Bidder fails to enter into a Contract with the Town of Otselic, upon acceptance of bid, the bid security shall be forfeited to the Town of Otselic. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the date of the bid opening. The successful bidder must provide a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond with a surety company satisfactory to the Town of Otselic and conforming to the requirements of Article 6 of the General Conditions. INSURANCE The successful Bidder shall furnish an Insurance Certificate with coverage and limits as set forth in the General Conditions and Supplementary Conditions. The Town of Otselic reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids. RIGHT TO REJECT The Owner may elect not to award a contract at this time due to budgetary or other considerations. Owner reserves the right to reject any/or all proposals and to rebid the Contract if the Owner deems it in the public interest to do so.
