The purpose of this unsealed Invitation for Bids (IFB) is to obtain bids from qualified HVAC contractors to perform replacement of an HVAC system at the Rockville Library The scope is as follows: A. Recover refrigerant from old system. B. Remove and dispose of existing 10-ton AHU and two (2) existing 5-ton heat pumps. C. Furnish and install two (2) 5-ton heat pumps and two (2) AHU's with 15KW heat packages with correct amount of refrigerant. D. Rework duct work as needed. E. Make all mechanical/electrical connections. F. Install outdoor pad, electrical whips and disconnect. G. Install new drain pans with safety overflow switches. H. Install new thermostats. I. Complete proper start up and testing. J. Provide progress reports daily when work is in progress. K. Report to management when work is complete. B. Start-up of Contract: Prior to contract start-up, the Contractor shall meet with the appropriate County staff to discuss responsibilities, schedule, and other parameters of the contract. Typical work hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday or other times as agreed to by the County. Work schedule will be discussed prior to the initiation of work. C. Project Completion: Work will begin at time designated by the County which is anticipated to be July 2025. All work must be completed within 30 days of the Notice to Proceed.
