2025 Stormwater Bumpouts Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same. This project involves the installation of four stormwater bumpouts within the public ight-of-way in Narberth Borough. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $500.00per calendar day. Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within SIXTY(60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The Owners reserve the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all bids. Location: Conway Avenue, Dudley Avenue, & Grayling Avenue Narberth, PA 19072 In addition to the work shown on the Contract Drawings, the work includes, but is not limited to, the following: A. The video taping of the existing conditions within the work zone by a qualified professional prior to the start of construction. B. The notification of the Borough's Director of Public Works, and Engineer three (3) days prior to the start of construction and one (1) day prior to completion. C. The acquisition and submission of all necessary materials data and shop drawings to the Engineer for review and acceptance. D. The notification of all utilities having facilities within the work zone in accordance with the requirements of Pennsylvania Act 287 of 1974, as amended by Act 121 (2008), entitled "Underground Utility Line Protection Law" via the Pennsylvania One Call System, Inc. (1- 800-242-1776) a minimum of three (3) working days before the start of excavation. E. The installation, maintenance, protection, and removal of all traffic control measures shown and required by PaDOT Publication 213, Work Zone Traffic Control Guidelines, and as per Drawings. Included in this contract is the maintenance of safe and convenient access for local traffic through the work zone. F. The installation, maintenance and removal of all erosion and sedimentation control measures shown and required by the Engineer and/or Montgomery County Conservation Districts. G. The setting of lines and grades necessary to construct the required improvements. A benchmark, within the work zone will be provided by the Engineer prior to the start of construction. H. The verification of location and depth of existing underground utilities, including service connections within the work zone. All conflicts shall be reported immediately to the Engineer for review and evaluation. I. The sawcutting of existing roadway pavement for full depth roadway removal and excavation for the proposed bumpouts. J. Removal of the existing curb as shown on the contract drawings. K. The restoration of disturbed areas consisting of curb and roadway restoration; amending soils with proper biomedia, stabilizing bumpout with seed, straw, and coir matting, and placement of river rock riprap. The Contractor shall replace any damaged or destroyed items "in-kind" at their own cost and expense. L. The resetting of any existing traffic signs, mailboxes, shrubbery, fences, etc. disturbed as a result of the construction. The Contractor shall replace any damaged or destroyed items "inkind" at their own cost and expense. M. The clean-up, removal, and disposal of all demolition and construction debris, and excess material off-site in an approved and permitted disposal area, and the keeping of a clean and neat work site during construction. N. Record Drawings: Maintain one set of marked-up paper copies with erasable, red-colored pencil, or electronic copy, of the Contract Drawings and Shop Drawings, incorporating new and revised drawings as modifications are issued. Use other colors to distinguish between changes for different categories of the Work at same location. Mark record prints to show the actual installation where installation varies from that shown originally. Require individual or entity who obtained record data, whether individual or entity is Installer, subcontractor, or similar entity, to provide information for preparation of corresponding marked-up record prints. Give particular attention to information on concealed elements that would be difficult to identify or measure and record later. Accurately record information in an acceptable drawing technique. Record data as soon as possible after obtaining it. Record and check the markup before enclosing concealed installations. Cross-reference record prints to corresponding photographic documentation, where applicable. Identify and date each record Drawing; include the designation "PROJECT RECORD DRAWING" in a prominent location. Submit high quality PDFs of Record Drawings as part of project close-out documentation
