The scope of work for this project is the replacement of nine (9) Modine hydronic steam heaters at the Litchfield Public Works Garage in the mechanics bay, parts room and grader bay respectively. This includes the removal and disposal of all the existing heaters. The contractor is responsible for all piping, main steam vents and aquastats installation. In addition, the contractor will install thermostats and perform the electrical work associated with it. The replacement heaters will be installed where the existing units are located. All new heaters must meet all energy efficiency requirements to ensure adequate ratings. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all the necessary permits. . Remove and dispose of all existing heaters in the specified bays/room . Supply and install four (4) Modine steam hydronic system in the mechanics bay . Supply and install one (1) Modine hydronic system in the parts room . Supply and install four (4) Modine hydronic system in the grader bay . Install piping and/or connect to existing plumbing pipes where necessary . Install unions, ball valves, fittings, boiler drains and aquastats for nine (9) unit heaters . Install and/or replace valves at the water boiler . Test and verify if the units operate properly upon completion . This sum shall be paid by the Contractor to the Town or withheld from final payment to the Contractor. The contract time period must start with the Notice to Proceed from the Town of Litchfield. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason the Town deems advisable, and to award contract or contracts to any Contractors bidding on the work, regardless of the amount of bid. A bid bond or certified check is not required for this bid. A Performance Bond or Certified Check is required for this bid. The Town of Litchfield is requesting bid proposals for the time period beginning July 2, 2025 or July 16, 2025 through August 29, 2025. The Town of Litchfield reserves the right to negotiate with the Contractor selected, additional periods beyond August 29, 2025 if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
