The City of Lubbock, Community Development is seeking bids from qualified vendors for a minor rehabilitation to a single family residential home repair/remodel. Location-2128 Cornell St Lubbock, TX 79415 Pre-Bid Conference No Pre-Bid Conference Data Found Question Deadline 06/20/2025 at 5:00 PM CT Online Portal ROOF REPLACEMENT HOMEOWNER to SELECT SHINGLES with ALLOWANCE LISTED BELOW FROM IN-STOCK ITEMS at LOCAL VENDOR. ROOFING - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (FOR DWELLING UNIT) Unless otherwise specified, all material shall be new and match existing as closely as possible for material style, color and method of installation. Seal all edges. Flash and caulk all adjoining surfaces, roofing vents, roofing accessories, including any new roof vents and nails and make weathertight. All cast iron roof penetrations must have new lead boot vent pipe flashing. Contractor shall ensure all roof penetrations are properly and completely connected back to the fixture requiring venting. Replace all drip edge, flashing, roofing vents, roofing accessories and nails using rustresistant material. Install in one continuous operation / pattern. Protect the house contents at all times from exposure to the elements. DO NOT INSTALL ARCHITECTURAL ROOF SHINGLES FASCIA and SOFFIT Remove and replace existing fascia and soffit. Frame-in and box-in new soffit material to the underside of the roof eave. Contractor shall ensure there is no gap exceeding 1/4" between the finished front of the new fascia and the drip edge. Contractor shall install additional bandboard material or two-step finish material, if necessary to ensure proper fit between the drip edge and new fascia for a consistent finished style throughout. New fascia and soffit material to be of a fiber cement based material of similar style and dimension to adjacent material. Contractor shall properly install aluminum, pre-bent corner trim pieces to all outside fascia corners. Finish with 2-coats exterior latex painting. Paint is to be of similar quality to Behr or Glidden. Match paint as closely as possible to existing color. STORM DOOR: FRONT ENTRY Remove and replace existing back entry door. Purchase and install a new WHITE, 3/4 VIEW, 3'-0" storm door with a fixed insect screen and operable glass, with a solid panel at the bottom of the door, over the exterior door. Swing of door to match existing. Include all new BLACK finish hardware, heavy duty door closures. FRONT ENTRY RAMP with HANDRAIL RAMP SLOPE: 1:12 ratio, minimum 4' wide Form up and pour a ramp at the front top ledge of the existing west edge of the front porch, up against the home, extending toward the driveway (approx. 12 ft.). End of ramp at ground level is to have a footing extending at least 4" below grade. Use #3000 concrete with fiber. Purchase and install double, diameter of 1 1/2" round, steel handrails that are set into concrete, on outside side of ramp and extend the length of the ramp. The top of the top rail shall be set at 36" above finished surface. The top of the lower rail shall be set at 24" above finished surface. Handrails are to be prepped, primed and painted flat gray with a good quality exterior enamel based paint (2-coats). Ramp surface to be broom finish. Contractor is to field measure the area of installation for proper sizing and slope.
