Remodeling of a residential development in Lubbock, Texas. Completed plans call for the remodel of a residential development.

The City of Lubbock, Community Development is seeking bids from qualified vendors for a minor rehabilitation to a single family residential home repair/remodel. Question Deadline 06/27/2025 at 5:00 PM CT Deadline to submit Questions Online. FIRE EXTINGUISHER - HOUSEHOLD Purchase and install a new 5-lb, UL APPROVED, ABC Multi-purpose, Dry Chemical household rechargeable fire extinguisher, to be placed under the kitchen sink. WINDOW REPLACEMENT WINDOWS SHALL be LOW-E with a Fenestration U-FACTOR within the range of 0.25 to 0.35. The Contractor shall leave at least one original National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) label attached to the window. The Community Development Housing Inspector shall have photographic evidence of the attached NFRC label and then remove the label. The NFRC label is to be placed in the file for this home. NOTE: All bedroom windows must have an operable sash opening. Any window within 2' of a door and/or within a shower enclosure area MUST BE SAFETY GLAZED. REMOVE and REPLACE ALL WINDOWS, INCLUDING THE FRAME (HEAD, JAMBS and SILL). Purchase and install new single hung, doublepane, Low-E glazed, insulated glass, vinyl framed window in existing framed opening of each window that will be removed as part of the demolition. Contractor may at their own discrection adjust the existing framed opening size to accomodate a standard sized window. All components associated (frame to finish) with the adjustment of the new opening are included and the responsibility of the Contractor. Contractor is to field measure the opening to ensure proper sizing for the new window. (FRAME COLOR to be WHITE, WINDOW to HAVE NO DIVIDES). Window screens to be included. Insulate any vacant wall cavities surrounding the window. Include removing and replacing all window trim, interior and exterior, head, sills, jambs and stops. Interior window trim is to be of like substance, style and dimension of existing interior window trim (use of polyurethane, vinyl or similar material prohibited). Exterior window trim is to be of a fiber cement based material of like style and dimension to adjacent material. New window trim, interior and exterior to be installed properly to cover any exposed framing, underlayment, etc.. Contractor shall install a color matching, caulk to all edges, seams, joints, gaps and nail holes. Including the outer edge of the trim that meets the wall covering. Prep, caulk and finish with 2-coats painting all window trim, interior and exterior. Paint is to be of similar quality to Behr or Glidden. Match paint as closely as possible to existing color. WINDOW REPLACEMENT - BATHROOM REMOVE and REPLACE THE WINDOW, INCLUDING THE FRAME (HEAD, JAMBS and SILL). Purchase and install new factory installed OBSCURED glass, single hung, double-pane, Low-E glazed, insulated glass window in existing framed opening of window that will be removed as part of the demolition. Contractor may at their own discrection adjust the existing framed opening size to accomodate a standard sized window. All components associated (frame to finish) with the adjustment of the new opening are included and the responsibility of the Contractor. Contractor is to field measure the opening to ensure proper sizing for the new window. (FRAME COLOR to be WHITE, WINDOW to HAVE NO DIVIDES). Window screens to be included. Nails must not "pucker", "mushroom", or blowout material. Contractor shall install a white color, silicone based caulk to all edges, seams, joints, gaps and nail holes to the interior window trim. Including the outer edge of the trim that meets the wall covering. Exterior window trim is to be of a fiber cement based material of like style and dimension to adjacent material. Contractor shall install a color matching, caulk to all edges, seams, joints, gaps and nail holes to the exterior window trim. Including the outer edge of the trim that meets the wall covering. EXTERIOR DOOR: FRONT ENTRY ENTRY HARDWARE STYLE to be BARREL with a SATIN NICKEL FINISH. Remove and replace existing front entry door. Install a new 6-panel primed, fiberglass pre-hung exterior 3'-0" insulated core door. Contractor is to field measure to ensure proper sizing for the new door. Door is to have a decorative glass lite near the top. Swing of door to match existing. Install securely, plumb, square and level. (No visible daylight from the interior). Include a door viewer (58" above bottom of door slab), single cylinder deadbolt, entry hardware and door stop (hinge or baseboard). Hardware, hinge and door stop finish to match. Remove and replace door trim, interior and exterior. Use material of like substance, style and dimension of existing interior door trim. Exterior door trim is to be of a fiber cement based material of like style and dimension to adjacent material. Scrape, prep, caulk and finish with 2-coats painting all door trim, interior and exterior. Paint is to be of similar quality to Behr or Glidden. Match paint as closely as possible to existing color. STORM DOOR: FRONT ENTRY Remove and replace existing front entry door. Purchase and install a new WHITE, FULL VIEW, 3'-0" storm door with a fixed thermally-tempered safety glass insert, over the exterior door. Swing of door to match existing. Include all new SATIN NICKEL finish hardware, heavy duty door closures.
