The Work includes the rehabilitation and resurfacing of Davey Lake Road West, between West Street and Pine Street, in the Township of Ignace. The project scope involves performing in-place full-depth reclamation (FDR) of the existing asphalt and a portion of the underlying base material to improve structural performance and pavement uniformity. The reclaimed material will be graded and compacted to meet density and crossfall requirements. Following completion of the FDR process and all necessary subgrade corrections, a 60 mm hot mix asphalt overlay will be placed to restore the road surface. In areas where the existing pavement structure has failed, the Contractor will excavate and reconstruct the subgrade before proceeding with surface works. The scope also includes adjustments to underground utility infrastructure, such as manholes and valve boxes, to accommodate the new surface elevation. Additional work includes the submission of pre-construction documentation, coordination of material delivery and storage, and implementation of traffic control measures to maintain resident access. The Contractor is responsible for ensuring proper drainage through crossfall adjustments and for maintaining compaction standards throughout the project. Asphalt placement shall be completed to maintain specified depths and slopes, ensuring positive drainage and alignment with existing infrastructure.
