Transit Facility Rehabilitation Construction project at 7611 Highway 180 East Mineral Wells, Texas 76067. The transit facility rehabilitation project shall involve the Removal and Replacement of Ceramic Tile Flooring, Baseboards, Batt Insultation, Ceiling Tiles and Grid. Public notice of the award of contract or announcement of the decision to award shall be posted under the Procurement link on the PTS website. Bids and all other documents required to be submitted with the bid shall be enclosed in an envelope and shall be clearly marked "Public Transit Services Transit Facility Rehabilitation Project". The date and time of receipt of bid shall be stamped on the envelope by a transit staff member. Late bids shall not be accepted or opened. PTS reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive informalities in the bid process. SCOPE OF WORK The project involves the transit facility located at 7611 U.S. Highway 180 East Mineral Wells, Texas 76067. The project rehabilitation includes. Removal and replacement of ceiling grid and ceiling tile (suspended ceiling) Removal and replacement of Batt insulation Removal and replacement of baseboards Removal and replacement of Tile Flooring All products and materials shall be new Site preparation shall be required under this project which will include moving any furniture that may block accessibility. All surfaces are to be covered by a protective layer such as a drop cloth or plastic sheeting to minimize dust and debris. See Project Description which outlines the specifications related to this project The purpose of this project is to remove and replace the following: 1. Suspended Ceiling Grid 2. Ceiling Tiles. 3. Batt insulation 4. Baseboards 5. Floor Tiles Contractor Responsibilities (not all inclusive): A. All work shall be done in a manner of workmanship that shall reflect full journeyman capabilities in the required trade and meet industry standards. B. The contract is responsible for all material, supplies, supervision, equipment, and labor to complete the project in a professional manner. C. The contractor is responsible for removal and replacement of ceiling grid, ceiling tiles, tile flooring, and baseboards as defined within. D. The following shall be deemed applicable to the removal and replacement of ceiling grid and tiles: Remove and Replace ceiling grid and tile in the same configuration Existing light fixtures, duct work and sprinkler heads are to remain in current configuration. The Contractor shall install maximum lengths of edge moulding at the intersection of ceiling and vertical surface and miter all corners. All perimeter moulding is to be flat angle moulding, typical and is to be white in color. Any tegular ceiling tile is to be cut and fitted snug. Do not shim the grid to allow ceiling tiles to pass over top of partition. Level ceiling to within 1/8" in. 12 feet in any direction, level with hanger wire taut and plumb without kinking or bending hanger wires. E. The Contractor shall field check the premises and verify that the ceiling layout is correct and verify all clearances and surface measurements as required. F. The Contractor shall field check the premises and verify that the floor and baseboard layout is correct and verify surface measurements as required. G. The Contractor shall provide protection for existing finishes. All surfaces shall be covered prior to demolition and during installation. All necessary furniture shall be moved as needed during removal and installation by the Contractor. All furniture moved
