The project is expected to be awarded on January 20th Mayor and City Council agenda Boyce Ditto Library Storybook Park Questions: Send Questions To: Aaron Bovos, Assistant City Manager & Director of Finance Email: abovos@mineralwellstx.gov The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive any or all formalities The undersigned hereby proposes to provide design and build/construction services for the Storybook Park at the Boyce Ditto Library, within the City of Mineral Wells, Texas. Project Objective: The primary objective of this project is to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging public park adjacent to the Boyce Ditto Public Library that enhances community use and supports outdoor learning opportunities. The City seeks a Design-build team capable of delivering: o A cohesive site design that reflects the natural character and community identity of Mineral Wells; o High-quality, durable materials and equipment suitable for heavy public use; o ADA-accessible features throughout the park; o Functional and aesthetic integration of playground equipment, walking paths, and shaded seating areas; and o A cost-effective design that maximizes community benefit while adhering to the approved project budget. Goal: To create a vibrant, accessible community park at the Boyce Ditto Library that promotes outdoor learning, literacy, and wellness through the integration of walking paths, natural play equipment, a storybook trail and outdoor learning spaces. This park will serve as a vital green space within a 10-minute walk of surrounding neighborhoods, addressing a key need identified in the Mineral Wells Parks Master Plan, and enhancing the library's role as a hub for lifelong learning and community connection. Provider shall procure all permits and licenses, pay all charges, costs, and fees, and give all notices necessary and incident to the due and lawful prosecution of the work.
