Renovation of a municipal facility in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Objective: The scope of this project will include to replacement of 67 motors and to add alarm sensors to all associated motors and are also to be incorperated into the BAS. May have to add and integrate temperature and/or current sensors for the BAS connection. Increase the energy efficiency of installations using ECM motors, potentially, based on Carbon Neutral Study. Additional Description: The scope of this project will include to the replacement of approximately 67 fan coil motors with similar motors. The existing motors are three-speed PSC motors. The fan coils are located throughout the building, in the raised under floor space below the office areas and provide heated and cooled air as per system requirements. There is a total of 67 fan coil units, but approximtaley 10 motors have been replaced over the last few years; the intent of the project is to replace all fan coils motors , including those that are original to the building (2005), and the ones replaced during various times since. A thorough review of the existing fan coils and their motors shall be undertaken by the Consultant in order to accurately inform design and costing. The scope also includes and to adding alarm sensors to all associated motors and are also to be incorporated into the BAS; Consultant is to investigate and advise how to best acheive this (e.g. adding temperature sensors). There are existing current sensors for the motors that also might need to be replaced as part of this project.During the Design Brief development, the Consultant should investigate the possibility to replace the existing motors with ECM motors as per the Carbon Neutral Study.Fan coil type (ie. Under floor) to be utilized. A bid bond in a commercially reasonable form or an irrevocable standby letter of credit issued by a financial institution authorized to conduct business in Canada as a Schedule I or Schedule II chartered bank in the amount of at least 10% of the Bid Price and that shall be in effect until forty-five (45) calendar days following Closing Date.
