The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to obtain pricing for the purchase of Single Wall Vertical Salt Brine Storage Tanks for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). These tanks are used for storing salt brine and other strong corrosive chemicals typically used in anti-icing applications for treating NC roads and highways in the winter months. If there is a snowstorm predicted, NCDOT will pre-treat the roads with a salt brine solution. The intent of this solicitation is to award an Agency Specific Term Contract.
