Site work and paving for a civil project in Castro Valley, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Estimated Cost: $767,000. The work to be done, in general, consists of providing and implementing water pollution control plan and job site management; furnishing and updating progress schedule; providing and implementing de-watering system and temporary water bypass; implementing traffic control; constructing underground reinforced concrete pipe (RCP); removing and replacing existing asphalt and concrete; temporary shoring; excavating and reusing suitable excavated backfill; furnishing, placing and compacting bedding aggregate; install manhole and storm drain inlets; clearing and grubbing; removing and planting trees and shrubs; removing and reinstalling existing wooden fence. This project is subject to all Local, State, and Federal laws, rules and guidelines contained in the plans and specifications, including but not limited to payment of prevailing wages. These wage rates are available at the Alameda County Public Works Agency's office at 951 Turner Court, Room 300, Hayward, Alameda County. No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5, with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a). The contractor for this project must possess a Class A license at the time this contract is awarded and throughout the construction contract duration. Contractor must also be properly licensed at the time the bid is submitted, except as provided for in Section 7029.1 of the Business and Profession Code for joint ventures or by Section 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code for federally funded projects. The Alameda County Flood Control and Water Conservation District (District) strongly encourages the participation of disadvantaged/minority/women-owned business enterprises in all District capital improvement construction projects. The District also strongly encourages the hiring of apprentices who reside within the County of Alameda. Bidders shall either submit valid Certificates of Reported Compliance in hard copies to 951 Turner Court, Room 300, Hayward, CA, or e-mail complete digital PDF copies to jami@acpwa.org. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any or all bids and any or all items of such bids.
