In general, the work to be performed under this contract includes construction of approximately 11,480 square feet of concrete sidewalks, and concrete ramps, reconstruction of driveway aprons, as well as topsoil and turf establishment and other associated work. All interpretations, clarifications, corrections and changes made as a result of a bidder request and all responses to bidder questions, will be made by written Addenda issued no later than forty-eight hours (48) before bids are due, circulated to all firms that expressed an interest in bidding and posted on the Town's website. Bidders are advised to check for Addenda before submitting their bid. Bidders are solely responsible for doing what is necessary to determine whether Addendum have been issued. Question Deadline 07/28/2025 at 1:00 PM ET Bidders seeking clarification or interpretation of the Drawings, Specifications or any document in the bid package must do so by written request to the Towns Public Works Director State law requires a minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) of the state funded portion of this contract be set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS) under the provisions of Conn. Gen. Stat. 4a-60g. (25% of the total State funded value with DAS certified Small Business Enterprises (SBE), and 6.25% of the total State funded value with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled-owned Businesses (MBE, WBE, DisBE). The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set aside goals. The Town of East Windsor, Connecticut reserves the right to reject any or all bids submitted in response to this Invitation to Bid. The Town reserves the right to waive any informality, defect or irregularity in any or all bids if such action is in the best interests of the Town.
