Completed plans call for the construction of a 19,400-square-foot, three-story above grade fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

**As of November 21, 2025, the project was awarded to Tech Contracting Company, Inc., with an awarded amount of $9,756,158.50.** The 19,400 SF new-build fire station for Frederick County DFRS. Single-story operations with mezzanine spaces for building systems and storage surrounding the apparatus bays. The structure consists of (4) drive-through apparatus bays housed within a pre-engineered metal structure, apparatus bay support spaces to the west of the bays, and crew offices, living quarters, and sleeping quarters to the east. The support spaces and crew living spaces will be constructed of masonry and steel stud. The project is Type IIB construction and fully sprinklered. Additional work onsite includes construction of site access roadways, concrete aprons, and a 3-story masonry exterior training tower for use by crew in rescue and fire training exercises. This project is non wage rate with a duration of 340 days. Expected to start in November 2025 with completion by October 2026.
