Lower Makefield Township is replacing an existing Culvert that is located along Highland Drive. Currently, the existing culvert is in very poor condition and does not have the capacity needed for the stream to flow during bigger storms. This project aims to increase the size of the culvert, rehabilitate and expand the scope of the existing separate storm system, and provide additional controlled flow capacity during high intensity storm events. project Location- The project site is located in Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania near 1 Highland Drive where the roadway crosses over a tributary to the Delaware River as shown on the Project Plans. The assembly and set-up of the general plant required to comply with the contract and with local and state laws and regulations. This includes contractor's offices, shops, plants, storage areas, and sanitary or other facilities. This work includes obtaining the required permits, insurance, bonds, and any other initial items required for the start of the work. 2. Contractor shall coordinate with Township for storage of new Concrete Box Culvert. B. Maintenance and Protection of Traffic 1. Contractor shall erect or place and maintain in good condition, barricades, warning signs, lights, flares, approved yellow-flashing light units, rubber traffic cones, and other warning and danger signals and devices, as specified on the Detour Plan. C. Temporary Erosion and Sediment Controls 1. Contractor shall place temporary soil erosion and sediment controls throughout the project as shown on the Project Plans and in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the County Conservation District.
