Questions Due Date: Jul 3rd 2025, 4:00 PM EDT LOCATION OF WORK: Kettle Road, Walker Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania Bids for this Contract shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Bid. All Bids shall be effective for sixty (60) calendar days. 2A road base and DSA must be placed prior to September 30, 2025 and all the work must be completed prior to October 31, 2025. The Work generally consists of furnishing all equipment, labor, and materials for, but not necessarily limited to, the following: placement and compaction of 2A aggregate road base to achieve road profile, placement and compaction of driving surface aggregate (DSA), placement and compaction of AASHTO #1 DSA backup material, placement of R-4 rip-rap shoulder lining, and maintenance and protection of traffic. The work is more specifically identified in the project manual/bid documents and project sketch. The project documents contain provisions regarding the applicability of PA Prevailing Wages. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance Bond, and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. This project is funded by a Dirt & Gravel and Low Volume Road Grant and all standards of the Dirt & Gravel and Low Volume Road Grant program are applicable. Walker Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or portions thereof, and to accept any Bid, or portion of Bid, and the right to waive any immaterial defects in the bidding process which, in its judgment, is in the best interest of the Township. Walker Township and their representatives are not responsible for bids mailed but not received.
