Greenwood Street. Installation of approximately 100 linear feet of 12 inch restrained joint ductile iron pipe inside a 20 inch steel casing pipe by jacking and boring under railroad tracks on Cottage Avenue. The Project also includes 144 lineal feet of 12 inch, 82 lineal feet of 8 inch and 6 lineal feet of 6 inch ductile iron pipe installed by open cut method, water main appurtenances including gate valves, and incidental work. Specifications, the Project consists of the following components: o Approximately 140 linear feet (LF) of 10-inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe inside a 16-inch HDPE casing pipe, installed by horizontal directional drilling under railroad tracks on S. Greenwood Street. o Approximately 100 LF of 12 inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) inside a 20 inch steel casing pipe, installed by jack and bore under railroad tracks on Cottage Avenue. o Approximately 145 LF of 12-inch, 80 LF of 8-inch and 10 LF of 6-inch DIP installed by open excavation, including gate valves and other appurtenances, and incidental work. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10 percent of the Bid total, payable to the Owner in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Provide without additional compensation, any apparatus, material and labor not specifically mentioned in specifications or indicated on Drawings, that is necessary to complete or perfect any portion of work in a substantial manner and in compliance with requirements implied or intended in these Contract Documents. This includes materials, devices or methods peculiar to the apparatus or system provided. The Owner reserves the right, at its option, to waive as an informality any, defects, errors, or omissions in any or all Bids; and to reject any or all Bids.
