This deposit will be refunded to document holders of record who return the Bidding Documents to the Engineer in good condition within fourteen (14) days after the opening of Bids. All requests for mailing of Bidding Documents shall be accompanied by a separate, nonrefundable handling and mailing fee in the amount of Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) in cash or a separate check made payable to Haley and Ward, Inc. One (1) set of Bidding Documents will be furnished for the deposit and mailing fee stated. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders. Every Bid shall be submitted in full accordance with those Instructions to Bidders. Bids shall be valid only when accompanied by all of the following: (1) a fully completed and properly executed "Bid Form for General Bid", in the case of a Bid for the General Contract, or "Bid Form for Filed Sub-Bid", in the case of a Bid for a Filed Sub-Contract; (2) Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the amount bid, in a form as described in the Instructions to Bidders and made payable to the "Town of Natick"; (3) a copy of a "Certificate of Eligibility" issued by the Deputy Commissioner of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) showing that the Bidder has the classification and capacity rating to perform the work required; and (4) an update statement in such form as the Deputy Commissioner of DCAMM shall prescribe. Wage rates paid under this Contract are subject to the minimum wage rates established under the provisions of Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27G inclusive of the Massachusetts General Laws. The successful Bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract with a surety company which is acceptable to Owner. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of thirty (30) days (Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded) after the actual date of the opening of the General Bids. Bids for this Contract are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 149, Sections 44A et seq. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid deemed by it to be in the best interest of the Town of Natick, and to limit the extent of the work to keep within the limits of available funds. Bidder's attention is directed to the Supplementary Equal Employment Opportunity Anti-Discrimination and Affirmative Action Program requirements of this Contract. The requirements of these programs are explained in the Instructions to Bidders and in Part II of the Supplementary Conditions of the Contract. The award of any contract pursuant to this Invitation for Bids is subject to appropriation by Natick Town Meeting. This Invitation for Bids contemplates the following Work to be performed: the rehabilitation of Health Center Sewage Pump Station, generally consisting of replacing the pump station superstructure. Work also includes replacement of the Justin Road and Indian Rock prefabricated wastewater pump station. Question Deadline 07/03/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered The Work of this Contract is located in the Town of Natick, MA at the Health Center Sewage Pump Station located off North Main Street (RT 27) behind 231 North Main Street building. 2. The work of the General Contractor at Health Center Pump Station shall include, but not necessarily be limited to, providing all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required to accomplish the following: a. Health Center Pump Station i) Installing, operating and maintaining a by-pass pumping system during the completion of construction. ii) Razing the existing superstructure in its entirety and disposing of same. iii) Stripping the existing asphalt pavement where required for the work. iv) Excavation for the proposed foundation system. v) Removal and disposal of the existing station concrete floor. vi) Trenching backfilling and compaction required for proposed underground utilities (e.g. gas, water, electric). vii) Furnishing and installing water service where shown on drawings. viii) Providing proposed superstructure, including but not limited to the foundation system, structural slab, doors and frames and roofing system. ix) Providing equipment and furnishings, as outlined in the Contract Documents including but not limited to HVAC, blowers, fans, louvers, duct work), architectural elements. x) Installing Owner furnished generator and transfer switch. xi) Furnishing and installing doors and hardware xii) Furnishing and installing ceiling panels. xiii) All work associated with painting all required equipment and interior blocks. xiv) Furnishing and installing gas piping for generator and heater. xv) Conduct site work including but not limited to grading, gravel subbase and paving. xvi) Conducting equipment testing and training. xvii) Removal of existing generator and delivery to town identified location. xviii) Removal of existing generator pad and disposal of same.
