Demolition, site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Miami, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for site work for a water / sewer project; road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to perform site improvements to the 36th Street Facility, including, but not limited to, excavation, demolition and modification work including: drain and demolish two (2) existing water storage tanks; demolish existing controls building; demolish and dispose of all pavement and surface material within the area of work noted in the plans; cut and plug segment of existing 24" & 30" potable water lines; furnish and install new asphalt pavement parking lot including but not limited to roadway foundation and surfacing, drainage system with inlets, manholes, and exfiltration trenches, site lighting, power service connections, pavement markings, single post signage, picket fence, and other appurtenant and miscellaneous items for a complete, satisfactory and functional installation The work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials to successfully place permanent 6" solid white thermoplastic pavement markings in accordance with the plans. The lump sum price shall include all costs necessary to furnish and place 6" solid white striping in all configurations shown along with temporary pavement as required during asphaltic concrete curing process prior to application of thermoplastic. Contractor shall make all pavement marking installations in accordance with FDOT Standard Specification for Road and Bridge Construction, latest edition. A. Execute cutting (including excavating), fitting or patching of work, required to: 1. Make the several parts fit properly. 2. Uncover work to provide for the installation of ill-timedwork. 3. Remove samples of installed work as specified fortesting. 4. Installspecified work in existing construction. B. In addition to Contract requirements, upon written instructions from the Engineer: 1. Uncover work to provide for Engineer's observation of coveredwork. 2. Remove samples of installed materials for testing. A. This section specifies the taking and submission of construction photographs and audiovideo photography. B. Prior to the delivery of any equipment, materials or supplies to the site of any work, or to the beginning of any of the construction work, the Contractor shall provide preconstruction photography as specified herein for the purpose of establishing the surface conditions existing in all of the areas to be affected by the construction of the Project. C. Ground photography shall consist of photographs and color video taping of surface features taken along the entire length of the Project and including all work, intersecting roadways and properties that will be impacted by the water service conversions. D. The purpose of the color audio-video taping of the project is to provide the necessary information for restoration of surface features after completion of the Project. The Contractor shall be responsible for repairing any damage or defect not documented as existing prior to construction. A. Scope of Work: For contracts where the work is performed at an on-site location maintain one record copy of: 1. Record Drawings. Record Drawings as used herein shall mean a drawing that accurately records constructed improvements and any field changes. 2. Record Specifications. 3. Addenda. 4. Change Orders and other modification of the contract. 5. Engineer's written orders or instructions. 6. Approved Shop Drawings, Product Data and Samples. 7. Field Test records. 8. Construction photographs. 9. As built dimensions and elevations as recorded by the Contractor's Florida Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) on a daily basis. 10. Field Book. Survey Field notes taken by the Florida Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper's survey crew (copy provided to the Engineer on a monthly basis).
