Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Audubon, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.

As of 8/14/25, this project has not yet been awarded. Project set to be awarded on 5/19/25 sealed bids will be received by the Borough of Audubon for the Audubon Senior Center First Floor Lobby Renovation, project in the Borough of Audubon, Camden County, New Jersey. Payment Must Be Received Prior to Obtaining Said Specifications, Either by Mail or in Person. The Borough of Audubon reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Borough of Audubon. Bids must be on the bid form prepared by Bach Associates, PC, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Borough of Audubon in an amount not less than ten percent (10%), but in no case in excess of $20,000.00, of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the Borough of Audubon in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the Borough of Audubon in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary State, Federal or Local permits governing the work. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. (P.L. 1975, C. 127) and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action), P.L. 1963, C. 150 (New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act) and 42 U.S.C. 12101, et. seq. (Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990). The contractor is further notified that he must comply with P.L. 1977, C. 33, and submit a Disclosure Statement listing stockholders with his bid. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with P.L. 1999, C. 238 Public Works Contractor Registration Act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act. The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with P.L. 2004, C. 57 and submit proof of business registration and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act. Sealed bids for this project are being solicited through a fair and open process in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.5 et. seq. This contract is subject to the provisions of the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et. seq. Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, or to make awards to such bidder or bidders who, in the judgment of the Borough of Audubon, is the lowest responsible bidder and to waive such informalities as may be permitted by law. Business entities are advised of their responsibility to file an annual disclosure statement of political contributions with the New Jersey Law Enforcement Commission (ELEC) pursuant to the requirements of N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.27 (New Jersey "Pay-To-Play" Law) if they receive contracts in excess of $50,000 from public entities in a calendar year. First Floor Lobby Renovation will consist of the following: In the first floor entry Vestibule and Foyer, removal of existing finishes including carpet, wall base, wall paneling, ceiling grid and tiles, light fixtures. Replacement of same with new as directed. New finishes include carpet tile AND underlayment, gwb on existing furring finished and painted, rubber cove wall base, ceiling grid and tiles, light fixtures on existing circuits. Not all finishes in all areas are being removed/replaced. Existing features not identified to be removed are to be reinstalled in original location. Existing emergency lighting, exit lighting, life safety devices, wall outlets, and other electrical or wall/ceiling mounted devices or objects shall be reinstalled on or in new finish materials. New Electrical work is generally limited to new light fixtures on existing circuits, and reinstallation of existing devices removed during construction. Complete scope of work varies between the Vestibule and Lobby areas, as indicated on contract documents. All materials shall be provided and installed in the manner described in the plans and specifications or according to industry best practices.
