Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Luthersburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Installation of Firestone TPO roofing on the Brady Township Community Center Building #1. Contact the Township secretary at 814-583-7660 for additional information and specifications. Contact the Township secretary at 814-583-7660 for additional information, specifications and BID forms. Or bradytwp@hotmail.com. 1. Remove all old wrinkled/worn rubber roofing. 2. Remove the rubber roofing that is rolled up the north end of the front part of the building. 3. Check all the termination areas (or strips to make sure they can be reused) replace as necessary, mainly any wood strips that may have been used. 4. Remove the heat tape from the east side of the roof and storm gutters. 5. Check the area where old rubber roofing has been removed for rotten wood or bad padding. 6. If wood, Styrofoam, or any other type of padding needs replaced a separate price per square foot needs to be included in BID. 7. Remove any nails, screws, etc. that may be protruding through the old roofing. INSTALLATION OF FIRESTONE TPO ROOFING (No substitutions such as Duralac or others to be used) 1. New TPO can be installed over the area of none wrinkled/worn roofing and terminated in the areas of the old rubber roofing. 2. All seams are to be fully adhered welded seams; the use of glue is prohibited. 3. The restroom vents need terminated on the PVC piping, not the old metal pipe. 4. The TPO material needs to roll up the north end of the building and terminated on the top of or over the wall. 5. All seams of the north end or front need to be fully adhered welded seams including the areas where the rolled TPO may tie into the main areas of the roof 6. A new aluminum ridge or top of the wall cap needs installed over the total width and down the front and back part of the wall at least 3 to 4 inches. This needs terminated to withstand high winds. Any laps or seams in the flashing need to be sealed to prevent leakage. 7. Reinstall a new heat tape on the east side of the building, including the storm gutters and down spout. 8. Remove all old materials and clean up the work site
