Site work for a civil project in Stockton, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project includes but is not limited to the following Work: 1. Bellota Weir Replacement a. Remove the existing weir, fish ladders, and riprap. b. Install a 150-foot-wide slab with three 50-foot-wide bays with Obermeyer gates across Mormon Slough. Each bay will be separated by pier walls. Install deep foundation pile and sheet piles underneath and adjacent to the weir slab. c. Construct associated conduits and control building. 2. North Bank Diversion Intake and Conveyance a. Install a new intake structure with manifold and distribution structure on the north bank. The manifold will contain screen channel, pipes for Bellota Conveyance Pipeline, and pipes for the Old Calaveras Conveyance Pipeline. b. Install a sloped scree channel containing four cylindrical rotating tee fish screens and floating debris barrier. Two screen sizes will be installed: two 7-foot-diameter by 27.5- foot-long and two 4-foot-diameter by 18-foot-long retractable tees. c. Install the Old Calaveras Conveyance pipeline from the intake structure to the south bank under the weir sill. The pipeline will consist of three 54-inch diameter steel pipes and include a tie-in to the exiting pipeline with a 54-inch reinforced concrete pipe. d. Install the Old Calaveras Conveyance Pipeline from the intake structure to the north into the Old Calaveras River. The pipeline will consist of two 54-inch diameter reinforced concrete pipes and an armored outlet structure. e. Install a 54-inch diameter, 550-foot-long reinforced concrete sluice pipeline on the north bank, with a rock slope protection apron at the outlet and sluice gates and sediment pump at the distribution structure and screen channel. 3. Fish Passage a. Install a 150-foot wide, 400-foot long, 3 percent slope roughened channel fishway with concrete apron for year-round passage. The fishway will consist of a channel spanning crest with one main channel and an overbank area. The fishway will be lined with various layers of riverbed materials, embedded boulder weirs, and rock clusters. b. Stabilize and armor the banks along the roughened channel fishway with Class V rock riprap. c. Construct permanent gated concrete fish ladder on the north bank for dual passage during the irrigation season. The 120-foot-long fish ladder will consist of seven vertical slots with 10-foot-long pools, a 20-foot long turning pool, and two 10-foot-long downstream pools with weirs and lamprey ramps. d. Construct permanent access roads on the north an south banks of Mormon Slough for fishway and ladder maintenance. 4. Old Calaveras River Fish Exclusion Feature a. Install an earthen embankment in the Old Calaveras River channel close to its divergence from the Calaveras River/Mormon Slough. The embankment will consist of a low-permeability core cutoff wall, an earthen embankment and rock slope protection on both side of the embankment.
