Hawthorne Street Sewer Replacement Project Scope of Work: The project generally consists of the replacement of approximately 1,600 linear feet of existing 6-inch and 8-inch gravity sewer line that is a contributor to inflow and infiltration. Direct Inquiries To: elizabeth.bell@mtholly.us Questions due by email at 1:00 PM June 17, 2025 SCOPE OF WORK: The project generally consists of the replacement of approximately 1,600 linear feet of existing 6-inch and 8-inch gravity sewer line that is a contributor to inflow and infiltration, has root intrusion, failing joints, and has limited capacity due to insufficient pipe slopes and substandard sizing. The proposed 8-inch SDR 35 gravity sewer is planned to parallel the existing sewer line along South Hawthorne Street from in front of Mount Holly Middle School, north to West Central Avenue, and then east along West Central Avenue approximately 100 feet beyond First Street. The proposed sewers are expected to all be installed within existing NCDOT and City Street rights-of-way.
