Any inquiries about this RFP shall be addressed in writing on the online. The purpose of this RFP is to develop affordable housing at the former Watson Lane Elementary School. Transforming an underutilized property into safe, affordable, and quality housing. This housing development is a key component in the Louisville Metro Government's (LMG) My Louisville Home plan, a comprehensive housing strategy to create and preserve 15,000 units of affordable housing by 2027. The selected developer will redevelop the former Watson Lane Elementary School into affordable senior living rental apartment units, multi-family rental units, and single -family homeownership units with mixed-use amenities, utilizing the concept design provided. The affordable housing units will be limited to low-income individuals who have household incomes at or below 80 percent of the area median income (AMI) for a minimum of 15 years. The AMI limits are determined by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) specific to Jefferson County and updated on a periodic basis. Reserves the right to review other submissions and accept the next best proposal. Should an extension be needed for due diligence, LMG and the selected developer must agree to it through mutual written agreement.
