DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK: The Work comprises furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals as required by the Plans, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the above stated project. The general items of work to be performed hereunder include but are not limited to: installation of new, removal, repair and/or replacement of all items including curbs, gutters, fence, safety railing, paving, sidewalks, erosion control, storm drain infrastructure, signing/ striping and all appurtenant work all appurtenant work on Baseline Road between Tamarind Ave and Cactus Ave. All work shall be done in accordance with these bid documents, the approved project drawings, the City of Rialto Standard Plans and Specifications, latest edition, the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction latest edition, and all supplements and addendums thereto. The scope of work will also include: securing the job site through the duration of the project; protection of the general public during the course of construction; existing utility coordination and protection; removal and transportation and legal disposal of all trash, debris, and/or other unsuitable material (if any); maintaining the site in a clean and workable manner; cleanup of the site at the end of each working day; and all other associated work with the proposed storm drain improvements. The work shall be diligently prosecuted to completion before the expiration of: 480 working days. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by an electronic copy showing proof of a certified or cashier's check or Bid Bond in the amount of 10 percent of the total bid price payable to the City of Rialto. The original hard copy will be collected from the apparent low bidder immediately following bid opening. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents are to be directed to the City Engineer. Questions shall be submitted in writing in website. Questions submitted after 2:00pm on July 10, 2025, will not be accepted. QA - 7/2/25: There is no DBE goal for this project The liquidated damages for this project is consistent with the project values previously advertised and will not be revised.
