APPLICANT: Discovery Clean Water Alliance 8000 Northwest 52nd Court Vancouver, WA 98665 FACILITY: Ridgefield Wastewater Treatment Plant & Clark Regional Wastewater District 109 West Division Street Ridgefield, WA 98642 The Discover Clean Water Alliance has applied for a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 90.48 Revised Code of Washington (RCW), Chapter 173-216 Washington Administrative Code (WAC), and Federal Clean Water Act. The Discover Clean Water Alliance presently owns an activated sludge with UV disinfection wastewater treatment plant. The plant is designed to handle a maximum monthly flow of 0.7 million gallons per day. The wastewater, following treatment, must meet the requirements of the Washington State Water Pollution Control Act (Chapter 90.48 RCW) and applicable regulations for a permit to be issued. Following evaluation of the application and other available information, a draft permit has been developed which would allow the discharge of treated municipal wastewater from Ridgefield Wastewater Treatment Plant to Lake River. A tentative determination has been made on the effluent limitations and special permit conditions that will prevent and control pollution. A final determination will not be made until all timely comments received in response to this notice have been evaluated.
