Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Ridgefield, Washington. Working plans call for site work for a 68,000-square-foot, two-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
Proposals will not be read aloud, but will be considered public records. Proposals will only be considered if they are in complete accordance with the instruction to proposers (included in the RFQ documents). Ridgefield School District is seeking statements of qualifications for playground equipment procurement services at the upcoming new Ridgefield Elementary School project. The consultant will facilitate the selection, procurement, delivery, and assembly of playground equipment associated with new construction included in the $21.2 million capital facilities and technology levy measure The Board of Directors of Ridgefield School District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or portions thereof and waive any informality or irregularities. The RFQ has been revised to remove installation of the procured playground equipment. The installation of the procured playground equipment is being provided under the general contractor's scope of work. See Addendum 1. The scope of work includes providing professional services to facilitate the selection, procurement, delivery, assembly, and distribution of playground equipment for the following projects: A third District elementary school, located at 7025 North 10th Street, Ridgefield, Washington 98642 (the Project). The Project consist of a two story building, measuring approximately 68,000 square feet with a target capacity of 550 students. The District's current playground equipment budget for the Project is approximately $400,000. The District anticipates needing the playground equipment to arrive at the Project site for assembly and distribution as outlined below: Ridgefield Elementary School #3: The Consultant will facilitate the playground equipment programming and procurement process. The expectation is that the Consultant will start immediately upon selection. All playground equipment must arrive no later than May 8, 2026. Substantial Completion for all installation of playground equipment must occur by May 29, 2026. 1. Playground Equipment Programming and Selection A. Meet with District representatives and, if directed by the District, stakeholders to determine playground equipment needs on a schedule that will achieve the target dates above. B. Provide objective advice regarding pros and cons of various playground equipment options from multiple manufacturers. C. Facilitate introductory, exploratory, and review meetings utilizing options from multiple manufacturers. D. Facilitate delivery of sample pieces for trial by District. E. Facilitate color and material selection with District consultants and staff. F. Run ongoing cost comparisons to meet the District's playground equipment budget. 2. Playground Equipment Procurement A. Facilitate procurement of playground equipment utilizing the District's selected procurement method(s) and in compliance with applicable laws. B. Compile purchase list with confirmed pricing breakdown and estimated delivery schedules. C. Coordinate with District representative(s) for execution of purchase orders or other contract documents as needed. 3. Playground Equipment Delivery and Receiving A. Provide ongoing, real-time coordination and adjustment for items with excessive lead times. B. Provide regular updates to District representatives on status of fabrication and delivery to ensure on-time arrival. C. Provide manager onsite on day of scheduled delivery to facilitate unloading, verification of condition, and verification of quantities and completeness of shipments. D. If, despite the Consultants provision of all services outlined above, items still do not arrive on time, manage a process to provide temporary, alternative playground equipment to allow for an on-time move-in by the District at no additional cost to the District.
