Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Chardon, Ohio. Working plans call for the demolition of a 2,710-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

All questions during bidding should be addressed to Mr. Charles Tkach, Project Manager, Geauga County Maintenance Department, 12311Ravenwood Drive, Suite #140, Chardon OH 44024, Office: 440-279-2157 or Cell: 440-221-0231 Demolish and dispose of the approximately 2,710 square foot Rear Wing section and breezeway connector of the County Home Next Step Building. This includes the demolition of the existing structure, disposal of demolition debris, repair the enclosed porch rear façade and sub-grade basement wall of the remaining Upright section of the building exposed by the demolition, all applicable electrical and mechanical work to reconfigure/relocate/cap-off/truncate utility lines and services impacted by the demolition, and backfill, grade, and landscape the demolished building site area to complement the surrounding buildings and grounds. The envelope containing the bid and other required documents should be sealed and clearly marked "BID-COUNTY HOME NEXT STEP BUILDING WING DEMOLITION PROJECT, Attention: Clerk, Geauga County Board of Commissioner, 12611 Ravenwood Drive, Suite 350, Chardon, Ohio 44024." Prevailing wage rates are applicable to the Project regardless of any contractual relationship which may be said to exist between the contractor or subcontractor and such individual. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or an irrevocable letter of credit pursuant to Chapter 1305 of the Ohio Revised Code, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or a bid bond meeting the requirements of R.C. 153.571 in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount, as required by R.C. 153.54, such check or bid guaranty to be made in favor of the Geauga County Board of Commissioners and shall be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted and a contract awarded to the Bidder, the contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. To be considered, bids must be made on the bid forms furnished by the Board of Commissioners in the Instructions to Bidders The successful bidder is also required to furnish a bond for the faithful performance of the Contract in a sum of not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price for the complete work, said bond shall meet the requirements of R.C 153.57 and be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio
